Care For Kids Campaign
This is the heart and soul of Hands For Honduras. This campaign not only battles hunger and malnutrition, but gives them the basic, life saving medication for parasites and infection. We provide medicine, food, clean water with the hope that the kids of Honduras can live safe and happy lives!
Clean Water Initiative
With Hurricane Eta and Lota making it's mark, more than 600,000 people in Honduras lack access to clean water. The current supply has parasites and numerous bacteria in the water. Donations focus on raising funds for quality wells in rural areas that provide access to entire communities and direct relief to kids in need.
Investment Opportunities
Our goal is sustainability. With resorts, casinos, and tourism considered a priority for Honduras, we implore businesses to explore the benefits of investing in the new incentives the country has to offer. This includes gifted beach front property, 20 years income tax free, with the promise of development. We can help guide investors into the countries eager workforce and favorable wages with the goal of economic stability in Honduras.
Honduras Housing Project
Poverty and natural disasters have left hundreds of thousands of people without homes. Some Hondurans have had to resort to living in plastic huts in the median of the highway. Our Honduras Housing Project provides hope for families most affected. We give them a chance to start meaningful lives with high quality, low cost homes and teach them the skills to effectively build these homes in the future.
Education Program
With 1/3 of the Honduran children out of school, we try to reach kids that don't have access to any educational resources. Our program gets them back on the standard curriculum, creates an opportunity to learn the English language, promotes wellness and peace building programs in a safe, learning environment.
Animal Welfare Honduras
Honduras has a large problem with dog overpopulation and animals in need. As animal lovers ourselves, we couldn't help but get involved. Donations provide medicine for mange and worms, food for starving street dogs and family dogs, emergency health services when possible, sterilization, care and shelter for injured animals.
Oceanfront Clean Up Program
Saying the beaches of Honduras are beautiful would be a definite understatement. With plastics and trash washing up after Hurricane Eta, Hands For Honduras looks to organize clean ups to restore these pristine beach fronts. Our team of volunteers are working to make an impact! From allocating waste locations, helping ocean wildlife and funding family supporting jobs to Honduran local workers, we maximize all donations towards the effort.
